Finally, the Other segment encompasses healthcare, leasing, and investment services. It functions as an asset manager for insurance and investment funds, making available a suite of investment products such as insurance-linked securities, catastrophe bonds, insurance swaps, and weather derivatives. This segment also provides program services and actively co-manages funds with external partners. Established in 1930, Markel Corporation maintains its corporate headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia.
