AMD, Arista, Astera Labs, Kratos and SpaceX's setups in numbers

AMD is up 174% over the past year. It's down 12.2% in the last month. That's a stock cooling off right before it matters most. For more on how AMD stacks up against its chip peers, see our chip stock breakdown.

Arista sits just 2.6% below its 52-week high. That's the calmest setup in the group.

Astera Labs has gained 132.8% over 12 months. It dropped 25.8% in the last month alone. The stock now trades above its own analyst price target, which is unusual.

Kratos has fallen for six straight months. It's down 52.4% in that stretch.

SpaceX only IPO'd on June 12. It reports its first quarterly results as a public company tonight. That comes two trading days before a major lockup expiration.

What the Stoxcraft scores say about AMD, ANET, ALAB, KTOS and SPCX

The scores split this basket into three clear tiers. Two names look strong. Two look weak. One is too new to fully judge yet.

Health and performance: the fundamental picture

AMD and Arista both carry solid fundamentals. Their Health Scores sit at 7.1 and 7.0 out of 10. Health Score measures fundamental strength against sector peers, from 0 to 10.

Arista's Performance Score of 9.2 is strong. Performance Score tracks how a stock's price has done against the broader market, also on a 0 to 10 scale. The company raised its revenue guidance for the year on AI-driven data center demand.

Astera Labs isn't far behind at 8.5. Its Health Score of 7.3 hasn't stopped a rough month for the stock.

Kratos and SpaceX tell a different story. Kratos carries a Health Score of just 2.5, the weakest in the group.

SpaceX's Health Score sits at 1.5. Its Performance Score reads 0.0 out of 10. Both reflect a company still burning cash to fund Starship, only weeks into public trading.

Risk and trend: where the volatility lives

Every stock here carries a Risk Score above 5. Risk Score works backward: a higher number always means more risk, never less.

Astera Labs tops the list at 9.9, the highest possible reading, driven by its sharp one-month drawdown. AMD isn't far behind at 8.8. Arista's Risk Score of 5.4 is the calmest of the five.

Kratos and SpaceX both show weak short-term trend signals right now. That lines up with their extended pullbacks.

AMD, Arista, Astera Labs, Kratos and SpaceX vs. their sectors

AMD and Arista both sit above typical sector averages on Health and Performance. Astera Labs matches that fundamental strength, but carries the highest risk profile in this group. Kratos and SpaceX both trail their sector peers on fundamentals right now.

The score pattern to watch

AMD and Astera Labs both fit the momentum play pattern. Strong performance, strong risk, a lot riding on tonight's print. Arista looks closer to a quality compounder. Its health and performance are both strong, and its risk sits below the rest of the group.

Kratos doesn't fit cleanly into any of the four Stoxcraft archetypes right now. Weak fundamentals, a falling trend signal and a sell-rated entry signal don't point to a turnaround yet. SpaceX is simply too new to classify, and its scores need real data behind them first.

Five stocks, one night, five different tests

Tuesday's close will move all five of these names, for different reasons. AMD and Astera Labs have to justify their run without a stumble. Arista just has to hold what's already working.

Kratos is looking for any sign the six-month slide is ending. SpaceX has a simpler bar to clear: numbers that actually look like a normal public company's, not a two-month-old IPO's.
