Largest Employers: who runs the biggest workforce
This one has nothing to do with market cap or revenue. It simply counts people, how many a company employs, full stop.
A large workforce usually points to a labor-intensive business, retail, logistics, manufacturing, hospitality, rather than a capital-intensive one running lean on people. A company can sit near the top of the largest-companies ranking and nowhere near this one, and vice versa.
Headcount and financial size come apart fast. Largest Companies by Market Cap ranks the same universe by market value, Highest Revenue Companies ranks it by sales, and the gaps between the three lists say more than any of them alone.
