Sector Performance: what each sector's stocks have actually returned
Compare sectors by index return and the largest few names quietly decide the outcome for everyone else in it. This page works differently. Performance Score here is measured against the entire universe we track, the same yardstick used for every individual stock, then rolled up by sector.
That matters because a sector can be full of household names and still land in the middle of this ranking if the typical stock inside it hasn't kept pace. The read blends short-term momentum with longer multi-year return, so one hot quarter can't carry a sector to the top on its own. The exact blend of timeframes is documented on the Stoxcraft Formula page.
For the company-level view, Best Performing Stocks ranks individual names on the same measure. Sector Rotation covers what is moving right now rather than what has already been returned, and Best Sectors to Invest In puts return back in context next to fundamentals and risk.
This suits anyone deciding where returns have actually concentrated lately, not where index headlines say they have. It's a return read only. Check a sector's Health Score and Risk Score rankings before assuming strong performance means it's a safe place to add exposure.
