Best Sectors by Health Score: how deep the strength runs
Utilities and software don't play by the same balance sheet rules, and neither do the sectors on this page get judged by one. Health Score compares every company against its own sector, so this ranking asks a different question: is financial strength the norm across a sector, or is a handful of strong names carrying a long weak tail.
Because each company is scored against its peers, sector averages naturally cluster close together. What separates them here isn't the level, it's the spread. A sector where most companies sit near the top of their peer group ranks higher than one where a few standouts are propping up a lot of financially stretched names. The exact scoring logic is explained on the Stoxcraft Formula page.
The company-level version of this list is Best Health Score Stocks, which ranks individual balance sheets instead of whole sectors. Best Sectors to Invest In folds financial strength together with return and risk, and Recession Proof Sectors covers the volatility side, which strong fundamentals do not automatically buy you.
This page suits long-term sector selection, not a quick read on which industry is winning right now. It says nothing about price or timing. Pair it with the sector's own stock ranking or the Stoxcraft Screener before deciding where the strength actually sits.
